The sculpture ‘Drievoud’ is a play of matter and non-matter with the data of trinity and duality. We see six head-like shapes, which are occasionally represented by material, sometimes just by the omission of material. The direction of these heads is the opposite. Three are upward and three are on the downside. The relationship between the two groups was significantly different. The three forms are upward in a triangular relationship to each other, while the three downward shapes are aligned with each other. In the first case there is question of hierarchy, in the second case equality. Also in this image is created triplicate by applying two impressions, two notches in the existing form. This fact we see among others back at the picture ‘Duality vs. Trinity. It shows that of the triple mirror, inverse form of duality. The opposition, the contradiction is inherent in duplicate raised in triplicate. As mentioned earlier, we see this principle in the government in the Netherlands. The duality that exists between government and opposition is offset by threefold from the present three-party ideologies of CDA (brotherhood), VVD (Freedom) and PvdA (equality).
